LOOM - VIDEO & SCREEN Recording SOLUTION

One of my absolute favorite tools to use in my money coaching business is Loom. It’s a perfect way to film program content but also the most handy tool for supplementing my coaching offering with in-the-moment mini-trainings or to quickly address a client question via video (the screen recording element comes in clutch with these). Loom has a free version for videos under 5 minutes, but the paid version is well worth it!

CANVA - CLIENT CONTENT & MARKETING GRAPHICS

Want to look professional with delivering PDFs, presentations, or creating your social media marketing content? Canva is my favorite tool (and you don’t have to be uber creative or have a graphic design background to make great looking business graphics your own). I used the free version for years, but upgrading to Pro made my life a whole lot easier (plus it comes with tons of free stock photos).

GOOGLE DRIVE - CLIENT MANAGEMENT

The other tool I cannot live without for running my coaching business is Google Drive. I manage everything in email form (mostly) and share documents with my team and my clients using Google Drive. Using Google Drive, we’re able to share the Coaching Financial Dashboard which includes my clients’ budgets, savings progress trackers, debt reduction trackers, retirement calculators, and so much more.

ZOOM - CLIENT CALLS

I conduct all of my private and group coaching calls via Zoom. I pay a small yearly fee to use Zoom, but you CAN get set up and start using it for one-on-one calls for FREE. Zoom provides flexibility for my clients to call in via phone for just audio calls or video calls from their computer or the app on their phone. It gives me the ability to share my screen or take over my client’s screen, and for some clients who need it, I can record and share calls for them to listen back on.

Podia - Course Platform

Although I use Kajabi, Podia is a great alternative with equally compelling offerings at a much more affordable price. Get started with a free plan and then upgrade when you want to enroll clients into your coaching program!

Betterment - Investing

Not ready to put your own investment strategy in place, but still want to get invested and finally call yourself an “investor”? Betterment is a fantastic Roboadvisor platform that can help you invest, using passive index investing, to reach your goals. All you have to do is connect your bank account, tell them how much you want to save and how long until you need the money, and how much you want to contribute to your account(s) on a weekly/monthly/quarterly or whenever you want basis. Credit Sesame - Credit monitoring

When I worked as a money coach, Credit Sesame was one of my go-to free tools to introduce my clients to. Although many credit card companies offer free credit scores, Credit Sesame goes an extra step to help subscribers understand what might be impacting their score and steps they can take to improve it. I also had several clients paying for identity theft insurance, which was taking up some of their budget. Credit Sesame not only offers credit monitoring, but has a level of identity theft insurance packed into their free subscription. (I also have a Credit Sesame account - I love getting email updates that alert me about credit activity. Note: Credit Sesame uses the VantageScore 3.0 scoring model and info from TransUnion)
