A Quick Recap from this episode
This topic is something I dig deep into in the Wealthy Coach Blueprint when we work on your marketing plan and what you need to be doing and thinking when you put your offer out on the internet.
When you’re working on your offer, you need to make sure that you’re hitting these 3 C’s to bring in clients and cash (those aren’t the C’s!) to your money coaching business. If you’re checking these off, you’ll be successful in marketing your offer and bringing in the right clients to work with.
The 3 C’s of Online Marketing for Money Coaches:
1. Content
Is this a surprise? No. But seriously, content is amazing. There are so many forms of content that you can do online. Pick one platform to create content on and go all in on there - usually a social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) is going to work best.
Social media content is great because it’s meant to be concise and shareable and it’s meant to pop into your client’s life in such a quick and easy way, with no barrier of entry. Other than social media though, you could use longer form content like video content on a platform like YouTube, through written content on something like your own blog, or audio content through a podcast.
Longer form content can be trickier though because it’s harder for your ideal client to find the platform unless it’s through a search engine or a social media platform. Start simple and find the platform that’s going to most easily get you in front of your clients.
2. Conversations
I know a lot of people get an “icky” feeling when they hear this because we’ve all been on the other end of an unsolicited conversation where someone was sliding into our DMs and offering something we didn’t want or ask for.
The conversations with your ideal clients should be simple and approachable. When you walk up to someone at a networking event, you don’t pitch them right away, you have a natural conversation and get to know them, which is what you need to do with your ideal clients.
You have to be willing to have conversations because that’s the only way to get yourself in front of potential clients. If you want to have a great coaching business, it has to be a two-way street where you both have the know, like, and trust factor.
3. Consistency
Consistency, with a side of patience, because I think those two things go hand in hand. Some clients will take a day and others will take years to become your clients. That doesn’t mean you stop creating valuable content. You still need to create and provide resources and education and show them how you can solve their pain point.
We have to be consistent in developing that sanctuary where our clients feel supported and can know that there is a solution out there for them. If you stop have conversations or creating content, they’re going to think you no longer solve their pain points.
Being an online marketer, you have to be patient, but also create with consistency. This is the hardest part about running a business, but you have to be ruthless in believing that something is going to become of it even when you don’t see it yet. The moment when you feel you’re ready to give up is the moment when you’re about to see things pay off.
This doesn’t mean you have to be creating every single day. Don’t burn yourself out. You get to set the boundaries, but you do have to show up consistently in those times you’ve decided on.
